Located in a 1940s roadside general store building, the Nipton Trading Post serves as a reception place for guests of Nipton and for visitors to Mojave National Preserve. It is also your source for unique gifts,  one-of-a-kind pieces of Native American jewelry, sterling silver jewelry, beaded jewelry, knives, purses, hobo bags, Mojave t-shirts, Nipton shot glasses, Nipton hats, Nipton water bottles, humorous signs, birthday cards, post cards, Anazasi beans,  handmade local items.

The Trading Post has books, maps, history and general information on the vast and unique Mojave desert area.

Convenience goods are sold including groceries, sandwiches, pre-packaged snacks, chips, cold beer,  white and red wine, bottled water, Country Archer jerky, Schwan’s ice cream,  sodas, ice and a range of supplies important to desert visitation and travel. All California Lotto games are sold, as well as Mega Millions and Powerball.

A 24-hour water draw is  found outside  the Nipton Trading Post along Nipton Road. Store hours are 8AM to 6PM every day.  The Nipton Trading Post is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
